Michele Morano is the author of the travel memoir Grammar Lessons: Translating a Life in Spain. Her work has appeared in many journals and anthologies, including Best American Essays and I'll Tell You Mine: Thirty years of Essays from the Iowa Nonfiction Writing Program. She directs the graduate program in writing and publishing at DePaul University in Chicago.

Piedad Bonnett Vélez is a Colombian poet, playwright and novelist of international acclaim. She is the winner of the Poetry National Prize from the Colombian Institute of Culture and one of Colombia's most beloved writers.
